Operating Systems: new versions of Windows & macOS

Summary

This article shares information about the latest Apple and Windows operating systems, including resource links and details about any known issues.

Body

When Microsoft and Apple release new operating systems, ITS and other testers on campus verify core applications (e.g., antivirus) and commonly-used administrative and academic applications (e.g., Office & SPSS).  During initial release periods it is not recommended to upgrade College-owned computers to the latest OS version.  Please note that details about "Known Issues" (below) may take time to be discovered and documented; do not consider a lack of known problems to be a recommendation to upgrade.  Detailed compatibility testing may take months; consider deferring longer if you run atypical applications.  Details will be added below when an OS release is unblocked and available for installation.
