Installing Fonts on a Mac

Install fonts on Mac.

Body

Many fonts can be found as free downloads online. 

 

  1. Find the font you want, and download the font file.

  2. Open Finder > Downloads, and double click the .zip file to open the ZIP. 

  3. Follow Apple's documentation to Install and validate fonts in Font Book on Mac. Use the font file within the ZIP file, not the ZIP itself.

    • See the supported file types on Apple's documentation.

  4. This font will now be available to use across all applications on your computer.
