Follow the instructions below to learn the version of Microsoft Office you have.

You can find the current version & supported version(s) of the Microsoft 365 Apps on the official Microsoft listing

 

Windows

  1. Launch a Microsoft product; for example, open Microsoft Word.

  2. If viewing a file (e.g., document, spreadsheet, powerpoint), click to the File tab. Otherwise (i.e., you just launched the application), see the next step. 

  3. Click on Account.

  4. Under About Excel, you should see the Version.

 

Mac

  1. Launch a Microsoft product; for example, open Microsoft Word.

  2. In the top menu bar, select Word (or Excel, etc., depending on the product chosen).

  3. Click About Microsoft Word (or Excel, etc.).

  4. The Version will be listed underneath the product name.
