Body

This article includes instructions for loaner laptops on how to connect to WiFi, install applications using the Company Portal, and print documents.

Loaner computers are used on a temporary basis by people who sign them out. Applications are installed using the Company Portal

Connect to Wi-Fi and log in to the laptop

  1. On the Logon Screen, select the globe in the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Select Middlebury College, then click Connect.

  3. A dialog box will come up asking for a username and password. You will need to enter your Middlebury College email (username@middlebury.edu) and password.

  4. Once you are connected, you will need to log in using your Middlebury College email address and password.

Install applications using the Company Portal

  1. Open the Start menu (click the Windows icon on the taskbar), then search "company portal" and open the Company Portal app (or select it from the App list).

  2. Within the Company Portal, use the top "Search apps" to search for and find the application you want to install. Select the app and click Install to download and install it.

    • You must be connected to the network. It can take some time to download and install.

    • If the application you need isn't available on the Company Portal, it can be requested via the Helpdesk.

Print documents using Papercut Print Deploy

  1. On the desktop, double click the green Printer Setup icon to open the Papercut client.

    • NOTE: You will need to be on the MiddleburyCollege network (via either Wi-Fi or Ethernet) to print. If you get a screen that says “Well this is awkward”, that means there is no connection to the printing servers.

  2. Click the button that says Sign in to install.

  3. A dialog box will open asking for your username and password; this is your Middlebury email (username@middlebury.edu) and password. Once entered, click Sign in and install.

    • The installation process might take a few minutes to run.

  4. Both MiddBW and MiddColor should now be installed.
