This article provides step-by-step instructions for adding the Zoom app to your Canvas course navigation. It explains how to access the course settings, locate and enable the Zoom app, and save these changes so that the Zoom link appears in the course navigation menu.
- Log into Canvas at go.middlebury.edu/canvas.

In Canvas, open the course where you want to add the Zoom app.

If the Zoom app is not visible In the course level navigation, click the Settings link.

Click the Navigation tab.

In the list of course navigation menu options, select Zoom.

Click the kebab (stacked three dots) options icon and select the Enable option.

Scroll down and click the Save button to retain changes to the course level navigation menu.

The Zoom app link should now be visible in course level navigation.
When accessing Zoom for the first time in the course navigation, the Authorize button may appear and need to be clicked to proceed.
If Zoom will not be in use, instructors may choose to hide it from the menu for students. In the Canvas course, go to Settings > Navigation. Drag and drop Zoom from the top bank of visible menu items to the bottom bank of hidden menu items. Click Save.
