Overview

As of March 2025, all Champlain College students (on-campus traditional and CCO) have access to the Enterprise version of Anthropic's Claude AI. To access it, please use the link below and follow the steps to ensure your account is set up correctly with the full license.

First Time Login

When accessing Claude for the first time, please follow these steps to ensure your account is correctly registered for our full license. 

Step 1

Visit the claude.ai website (linked above) and type in your @mymail.champlain.edu email account. Do NOT sign in with Google. 

Step 2

Verify your account by checking your student email inbox and clicking the “Sign in to Claude.ai” button.

Step 3

When asked on how you’re planning to use Claude, select the “For personal use” option

Step 4

Enter your full name in the text prompt, and specify what you’d like to be called below. This can be changed later.

Step 5

Read and agree to Anthropic’s terms of use by clicking on the hyperlink on “usage policy.”

Step 6

Acknowledge that Claude is not intended for serious uses, such as legal, financial, or medical advice. It is also still a work in progress, so some of the generated answers may be incorrect or biased. 

Step 7

You’re now ready to use Claude! Prompt the AI by typing in a question, or choose a specific style of response from the dropdown menu in the bottom left corner of the text block. 
Your claude.ai account will start out as a Free account, but will be upgraded to the Champlain College Enterprise plan once the Anthropic Team verifies it as a Champlain account. This process will happen automatically, but it may take up to 1 week to complete.
