Report Access

Accessing your reports in the Power BI Service can be accomplished in multiple ways. See below for recommended methods and disclaimers.

go.middlebury.edu/reports - Best Option, Recommended

The best way to view every report you have access to is by going to go.middlebury.edu/reports. This brings you directly to the Power BI Service page "Shared With Me", which displays every report you have access to. This can be useful to find a report you have not accessed in some time, or if a new report is created and you wish to test it. A sample "Shared With Me" page is below:

Each reports' name, the date it was shared with you, and the Owner are detailed in columns. There is a Search function to search by report name, type, or Owner, as well as a Filter button to allow you to filter by type, the time is was shared with you, and the Owner.

Home Page - Second Best Option, Recommended

If you browse to go.middlebury.edu/powerbi, you will be taken directly to the Home page:

This page displays Recommended items, which are items you or other frequently use, as well as displaying your Recent items and your Favorites. You can change what is displayed in the list by clicking on the applicable button.

To favorite an item so it displays here, hover over a report and click the star icon:

To unfavorite, repeat the process.

Direct Links - Third Best Option, Not Recommended

You may also access your reports directly via URLs. These work like any other link, and can be bookmarked in your browser for quick access.

Disclaimer: this method is not recommended because the report links change frequently, and your bookmarks can break. For reliable access to your reports, use the Home page or go/reports.
