How to delegate access to an email account

This topic covers how to delegate access to an account. Note this must be done from the gmail web interface.

Step 1 – If you are giving yourself access to a generic champlain account, log into that account and follow these steps. If you are giving someone else access to your own Champlain account you can do it by logging into your account. These instructions take place respective to the account that is granting access.

Step 2 – Click on the gear in the upper right and then on “Settings”

Step 4 – Enter the complete champlain email of the account to which you are granting access.

Step 5 – Confirm the access.

Step 6 – The access will be shown as “pending”, at this point the account you’ve granted access to will receive an email, they must click on the accept link otherwise access won’t be completely granted and the link will expire in 24 hours and will have to be resent.

Step 7 – This is how it looks after the access has been accepted.
