To add a printer on a Champlain-owned Mac, please perform the following:
Step 1:
Open System Settings on your computer. To get there, click the Apple logo in the top left corner, then click the System Settings option
Step 2:
Scroll down and click on the Printers & Scanners section, then go to Add Printer:
Step 3:
Scroll through the list to find the printer you want to install. Caution - make sure to look for the listing with PAPERCUT in the name, and Open Directory as the "type":
(select Generic PCL Printer when asked for a driver)
Step 4:
Once added, you can start printing! When using the new printer, you may see a "hold for authentication" prompt as shown below. Make sure to click the circular "retry" button to start the printing:
Step 5:
When a print job starts, you may be prompted for a username and password. Make sure to use your Champlain username and password, which may differ from what you use to log into the computer. This is crucial to have correct, or your print job will not release properly.
