How to fix 403 login error on Google account

Tags google

If you are getting the following error “app_not_configured_for_user” when logging into Champlain Web services, you are likely trying to log in using a personal Google account rather than your Champlain Google account. There are several ways to address this issue:

  • Use Private or Incognito mode – This will open a new browser windows that isn’t automatically logged into your personal Google account. Here are some instructions on how to do that.
  • Log out – log out of your personal Google account and then log back in using your Champlain Google account. You can do this from any Google page, including the main google.com search page or gmail
  • Use another browser – If you’re logged into your personal account in Chrome, open a Firefox or Internet Explorer and log in to your Champlain Google account

One way that you can manage using both your personal and your Champlain Google accounts on an ongoing basis is to use browser profiles in Chrome. Here’s a link with information on how to do that. We also have a support article to walk you through the steps to set this up. Please click here to see the article.
