Currently, Panopto is set to automatically caption videos with machine-generated captions. That may cause problems in certain captioning workflows or with certain kinds of content.
If you need to turn off machine captioning, you can do that at the folder level.
- Navigate to the desired folder in Panopto.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right to access the settings for that folder.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Look at the Captions section and use the drop down menu to select "None."
