CidiLabs UDOIT

What is UDOIT?

UDOIT is an accessibility tool in Canvas that scans your course content, identifies accessibility issues, and provides suggestions for improvement. The tool scans assignments, pages, discussions, and uploaded course files. It does not scan quizzes.

Common suggestions for improvement include adding alternative text (alt text) to images, writing descriptive text for links, and correcting heading levels for structure.

UDOIT also identifies issues with course files, highlighting inaccessible PDFs and other concerns. If you enable access, students can request alternative file formats for any course files you have uploaded (for example, they can request an optimized PDF file of a course reading).
