What is MiddCreate?

MiddCreate gives you your own space on the web. Students, staff, and instructors at Middlebury can use it to build websites and explore web tools.

What you can do with MiddCreate

Use MiddCreate to:

• Customize WordPress beyond the standard options
• Try other open source tools (software that anyone can use and change for free)
• Build your own site by hand with code
• Learn about the technology behind your website
• Create a digital identity (your online presence) that you own and manage, and take it with you when you leave Middlebury

Common uses

People often use MiddCreate to build portfolios, websites, and digital scholarship projects (research shared online). You can also try web publishing tools such as:

• WordPress (a tool for building websites and blogs)
• Omeka (a tool for building online collections and exhibits)
• Scalar (a tool for long-form writing that combines text and media)
