Authentication and Access

What Is This Service?

Authentication / access refer to a user's ability to access Middlebury resources. Authentication to Middlebury resources is generally accomplished using Single Sign On (SSO), but there are some services which do not support SSO and therefore must rely on other authentication technologies.

In addition to authenticating to services, clients must also have the appropriate permissions to use the service they're authenticating to. Just like authentication, permissions are created and automated based on various attributes, like membership in an active directory group.

Who Is Eligible For This Service?

All active Middlebury account holders can authenticate to Middlebury services.
