How do I access and use Middlebury Canvas page templates? Can I create my own unique page designs?

Middlebury instructors have access to specialized page templates and other page design toolsets within Canvas via the Quickstart Wizard and DesignPlus Tools.

  • The QuickStart Wizard offers Middlebury instructors pre-designed Canvas templates for a variety of page types and activities that you can use as is or modify to suit your needs and tastes. The Wizard also provides sample activity instructions for select assignment types, including annotating readings with Hypothesis, reflection journals, and several discussion-focused activities.
  • The DesignPlus Tools can be used to create and style highly visual, organized, and accessible pages in Canvas without requiring any coding experience. This suite of tools also includes a Due Date Modifier for quickly updating due dates on multiple pages without having to open each page individually, and a helpful accessibility tool called UDOIT Advantage.
