This article explains how to log on to Zoom at Middlebury using Single Sign On (SSO) on a web browser or using the Zoom client app.  All Middlebury faculty, staff, and students are licensed to use this service.

NOTE: In order to use Zoom, you must have the application installed on your device. See Install Zoom below for instructions.

Install Zoom

  1. Visit go/zoomdownload/.

  2. Download the correct version for your operating system:

    • Windows

      1. Open Settings.

      2. Click System.

      3. Select About (scroll all the way down to see this tab).

      4. Under Device specifications, look at the System type:

        • If it reads 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, choose Download (64-bit)

        • If it reads 64-bit operating system, ARM-based processor, choose Download (ARM64).  

    • Mac

      1. Click the Apple icon in the very top left corner of your computer screen and select About This Mac.

      2. Look at the Chip / Processor:

        • If it reads Apple M# (e.g. M1, M2, etc.), choose Download for Apple Silicon.

        • If the name at all includes Intel, choose Download for Intel

  3. Run the download and follow the instructions to install.

 

Middlebury's Zoom via Zoom App

  1. Select the SSO option on the initial sign in page.

  1. Provide middlebury as the domain.

    • NOTE: any variation on this, such as middlebury.edu, will NOT work.

  2. You will then be prompted to sign in with your full Middlebury email address (username@middlebury.edu) and account password.

  1. Visit go/zoom/.

  2. Click the SIGN IN button in the top right corner.

  3. Provide your full Middlebury email address (username@middlebury.edu) and account password if prompted.
