Writing for SEO

If you create page titles and meta descriptions that accurately describe your page content, and if your content is useful and clear to the user, then you’ve written for SEO.

Using Keywords

Keywords can be helpful in making sure that multiple site editors are on the same page about what to emphasize in your content. Make a list of keywords to share. Then use that list when creating new content, but don’t force the references. The words should naturally flow as part of your message. Think about the words users typically use when searching for your website or one like yours. Make sure to include words that only you can own, like “Middlebury” or “Bread Loaf” or “Battell” etc.
