Shows

Each show should have a Show in the database which will be used to place it on the schedule and associate playlists with the show.

Creating shows

  1. Log in to the WRMC website using the login link in the bottom right corner of the page.
  2. In the admin bar at the top of the page, click Manage and then click Content.
  3. Click the blue + Add Content button.
  4. Select Show from the list of options.
  5. Enter the name of the show in the Show Title text field.
  6. Enter the name(s) of the DJs in the Hosts text field. You can enter multiple names by separating them with a comma. If the person has hosted a show in the past or written an article in the blog their name may already be recorded and you can pick it from the list to associate their show with their writing.
  7. Enter the genre(s) of the show in the Genre text field. Separate multiple genres with commas. You can view the list of genres by selecting Structure and then Taxonomy in the admin toolbar.
  8. Optionally, upload an image to use as the featured image on your show page.
  9. Provide a short Description of your show which will be displayed on the schedule and your show page.
  10. Enter the times when the show will be broadcast.
    • Show time(s): you will most often select Weekly here.
    • Starts on: the date and time of the first time the show will be broadcast.
    • Ends on: the date and time of the first time the show will be broadcast. This is usually the same day as Starts on with an end time an hour later.
    • Click the checkbox(es) for the day(s) on which the show will be broadcast each week.
    • Under End select On date and then enter End before this date as a day when the show should no longer appear on the schedule. For example, we used the date of Commencement as this value for all the Spring semester shows.
  11. Click Save.
