How Do I Get Technical Help?

Instructure provides 24/7 technical support. There are multiple ways to reach Instructure's Canvas Support:

Chat

Instructors and students can also chat with Canvas Support when logged in and clicking on the HELP question mark icon [?] at the bottom of the primary menu on the left side of the screen.

 

E-mail

Contact Instructure support by e-mail at support@instructure.com. Instructure recommends the following format when contacting them via email:

  • Detailed summary of the problem:

  • When did this issue begin?

  • Who is affected? If students, include the name of student(s) to aid in troubleshooting if possible.

  • Web links to where you can see the problem:

  • Web link to the Canvas course where you are seeing the issue:

  • Troubleshooting efforts you may have already tried:

    • Some examples:

      • Did you try clearing web browser cache and cookies?

      • Do you have an any privacy plugins or adblockers that may be interfering?

      • Did you try an Incognito browser?

      • Have you tried accessing from a different browsers on your computer or from a different devices?)

  • If possible, include a screencast or screenshot of the problem, if applicable.
