What is this service?
Notebook LM is an AI-powered research assistant from Google that helps users synthesize information from their own uploaded documents (up to 50 sources of various types). It can generate text and audio summaries, answer questions, and enable user-driven notes while creating references to the original sources. Designed for researchers, writers, and students, it aims to enhance comprehension and streamline knowledge work.
Middlebury's NotebookLM access allows up to 100 notebooks, each notebook can have up to 50 sources. Each of those sources can be up to 500,000 words long. All users start with up to 50 chat queries and 3 audio generations per day.
Who is eligible for this service?
All active Middlebury students, faculty, and staff can access Notebook LM by signing in at https://notebooklm.google.com/ with their Middlebury account. You cannot share Notebooks outside of the Middlebury domain. This is a Google restriction.
