This article will teach you how to connect your Lenovo laptop to a ThinkVision monitor, use the monitor menus, and enable charging via the monitor.

Connect the laptop to the monitor via USB-C cable:

Plug a USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the left side of the laptop.

Connect the other end to the USB-C port on the monitor.
To add a second monitor:

Use a DisplayPort cable to connect the ThinkVision monitor to a second monitor.

Make sure all connections are secure for proper functionality.

The display settings buttons can be a bit tricky to navigate. There are five buttons, arranged from left to right as such:
- Return arrow – Exits the menu.
- Up arrow – Navigates up and also opens Port Settings.
- Down arrow – Navigates down and also opens Monitor Controls (Brightness & Contrast).
- Menu/Select – Opens the settings menu and acts as the Select button.
- Power – Powers the monitor on or off.
Use the Up and Down arrows to navigate, and press Menu/Select to choose an option.

By default, the USB charging function of the docking station is turned off. To enable it and allow your laptop to charge, follow these steps:

Press the Menu button on the docking station.

Use the navigation buttons to scroll to Port Settings and press Menu to select it.

Scroll to USB Charging and press Menu again.

Use the navigation buttons to toggle the setting to On.

Press Menu to confirm the selection.
Your docking station should now charge your laptop.
