What are Course Feature Options?
Course Feature Options are settings and functionality that an instructor can choose to enable or disable at the course level.
How to Manage Course Feature Options?
Available course feature options can be reviewed by clicking on Settings at the bottom of the course-level navigation menu, then clicking Feature Options tab. The On / Off optional state of a course feature can be changed on the Feature Options page by a person in the Teacher, Designer, or Admin role.
The table below lists available course feature options with a brief description, status, and default state. Some features are flagged as "Feature Preview" which means it is a newer tool that is subject to ongoing updates. The Optional In Course Default State column indicates whether a feature is ON or OFF.
Generally speaking, the default ON or OFF state prioritizes instructors' ability to opt-in to enhanced or preview feature options. Instructors are advised to review available documentation or asking for guidance before enabling feature options to ensure they work as expected.
