Issues Accessing Middfiles from VPN

Users complain of slowness browsing and opening files from Middfiles over VPN

  • Add user to VPNMTU group, and have user "refresh connection" on global protect app.

MacOS specific recommendations:

  • change connection string to smb://middfiles.middlebury.edu  instead of cifs://
